ATLANTA — August 17, 2026 — Independent Southern country-soul artist JRH turns up the heat on “Round & Round — After Dark,” a 124 BPM EDM-rock reimagining of the original “Round & Round” from his debut album, Where You Can Breathe.

Where the original recording leans into country-rock storytelling, “After Dark” takes the same restless attraction somewhere louder, darker and more dangerous. Driving guitars collide with a pulsing electronic foundation, transforming the song’s romantic uncertainty into an after-midnight rush.

JRH ON THE TRACK“Round & Round” was always about that dizzy place where attraction starts taking control. The original tells the story in daylight. “After Dark” is what happens when you stop fighting it.

The track retains the lyric and emotional core of the original while giving it an entirely different physical energy. Its tight rhythm, layered guitars and electronic production create a crossover sound built for late-night drives, crowded rooms and playlists that refuse to stay in one genre.

The Track

“After Dark” reflects the broader musical identity behind JRH: Southern storytelling without rigid boundaries. His music moves between country soul, Americana, roadhouse rock and cinematic production while keeping the lyric—and the human experience underneath it—at the center.

JRH released his first album at 57 after more than three decades building businesses and raising a family. Where You Can Breathe introduced an artist less interested in chasing trends than in telling emotionally honest stories about attraction, heartbreak, longing and the complicated distance between two people.

“Round & Round — After Dark” closes the album by revealing another side of that world. It is the same temptation, the same emotional spin and the same question—only now the lights are lower and the consequences feel closer.
